Services / Pricing

Transparent pricing. No discovery call to get a number.

Most agencies make you jump through hoops before revealing what anything costs. We don’t. Here’s exactly how pricing works and where most engagements land.

Pillar 01

Support contract pricing.

How it works
  1. 1 Send your current Esko or HYBRID renewal document.
  2. 2 48-hour fixed-price response — a specific dollar amount, not a range.
  3. 3 Review and decide. No obligation to move forward.
  4. 4 If you proceed, contract is executed and support begins on your renewal date (or earlier).
Typical savings

25–50% below vendor renewal in most cases. Up to ~75% for legacy versions, simple environments, or multi-year retainers. Actual savings depend on your specific renewal amount — which is why we quote against your document, not against a hypothetical rate.

Contract terms
  • Two-year cap on annual rate increases
  • Annual or multi-year contract options
  • Response SLA in writing: P1 1hr / P2 4hr / P3 next business day
  • 24/7 portal access; business-hours live; on-call retainer add-on available
Pillar 02

Custom development pricing.

How it works
  1. 1 30-minute technical call — describe your stack, your problem, your timeline.
  2. 2 Fixed-fee scoping document follows — yours to keep whether you engage us or not.
  3. 3 Project or retainer agreement executed if you proceed.
  4. 4 Build, with your operators in the loop throughout. No surprise go-live.
Indicative ranges

These are representative of where most engagements land. Your scope will vary.

Hourly / time-and-materials $175–275/hr
Monthly retainer (covered hours + on-call) $3,000–8,000/mo
Multi-year contracts Rate lock on signing
PWS stack: software fees $0 (AGPL-3.0+, open source)
Pillar 03

Fractional engagement pricing.

How it works
  1. 1 30-minute scoping call — describe your stack, team, and what needs to get built.
  2. 2 Agree on weekly hours (typically 10–20 hrs/week), focus areas, and communication cadence.
  3. 3 Monthly engagement begins. Scale hours up or down with 30 days' notice.
Indicative ranges

Monthly billing. No annual contract required. Rate confirmed after the scoping call.

10 hrs/week retainer $3,000–5,000/mo
20 hrs/week retainer $5,000–8,000/mo
Full-time equivalent (40 hrs/week) Custom — get in touch
Minimum commitment 1 month
Exit clause 30 days' notice, no penalty
Pillar 04

One-off workflow pricing.

How it works
  1. 1 Email a description of the workflow or ticket you need built.
  2. 2 Same-day response with a fixed-fee quote or hourly estimate.
  3. 3 Build and deliver. Source code yours.
Indicative ranges

No retainer. No commitment. Fixed-fee or hourly per ticket.

Single AE Pilot ticket $500–$2,500 fixed
Single Cloudflow workflow $1,000–$5,000 fixed
Custom JavaScript module $1,500–$7,500 fixed
JDF/JMF integration patch $750–$3,000 fixed
Emergency rescue (4pm Friday) $300/hr · 2-hr minimum · 1-hr response

All deliverables AGPL-3.0+ unless you specifically license proprietary.

Explicit exclusions

What’s NOT included. Stated plainly.

Esko or HYBRID software patches and version upgrades

Those flow through your existing vendor license. PWS does not redistribute vendor IP.

Esko or HYBRID license costs

You negotiate and pay your licenses directly with Esko or HYBRID.

Hardware provisioning

Server, storage, and network hardware are outside scope.

Vendor Care Plan entitlements

Your vendor contract covers what it covers. PWS supplements, not replaces, vendor access to patches.
